Orthodontist Serving Bel Air, MD

In practice since 1996, Dr. Joseph LaPonzina is proud of his community and pleased to be the orthodontist of choice for the staff and family of over 20 local dentists.

After graduating from John Carroll High School, Dr. LaPonzina completed an advanced three-year pre-med program at Villanova University. He then attended the University of Maryland Dental School, where he was the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists Award. He completed his general practice residency at Christiana Hospital and his post-graduate orthodontic residency at University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. LaPonzina is a member and past president of the Harford-Cecil Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Maryland State Dental Association and is board certified by the National Board of Orthodontics. He shares his knowledge of orthodontics by lecturing at local schools and has also presented research at national and international dental meetings.

Dr. LaPonzina and his two sons, Dean and John Paul, are lifelong residents of Harford County. In his spare time, Dr. LaPonzina enjoys boating, skiing and golf.
