Orthodontic Care
How Orthodontic Treatment Works
Gone are the days of bulky braces. Choose from thin, clear brackets or skip them altogether and straighten your smile with invisible aligners. Both options provide a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, slowly moving teeth to the proper position.
Because, everyone ought to have a mouth that works for them, not against them.

Dr. Oweisy
With over 13 years of improving smiles for children, adolescents and adults, Dr. Oweisy still believes that the most powerful first impression is a beautiful smile that serves as one’s unique signature.
Dr. Oweisy was first inspired in the field of dentistry at the age of 16 when she commenced her first job, answering phones and greeting patients in her mother’s orthodontic practice. Being a second-generation orthodontist, she saw firsthand the infectious nature of a beautiful smile and the feeling of confidence and self-esteem, patience obtained after treatment. She began her journey at the University of Virginia with a degree in psychology, and a minor in biology. Upon graduation, she attended Temple University School of Dentistry to be followed by a general practice residency program at Christiana Care Health Systems in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Oweisy wanted to combine her love of the arts and sciences, so she pursued orthodontics which allowed her to combine these fields. In 2008, she began her orthodontic residency program at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida where she researched the efficiency of various orthodontic systems.
To keep up with the latest cutting-edge technologies, Dr. Oweisy, is an active member of the American Association of orthodontics, Maryland State Dental Society, Northern Virginia Dental Society, Delaware State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.
When Dr. Oweisy is not practicing orthodontics, she loves to spend time with her husband and two children trying new recipes, traveling, starting interior design projects, snow tubing or going on nature hikes.
